Pablo Picasso once said, “the meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away.”  Inspired by Picasso’s wisdom, Dave shares his passion for helping others in this unique one of a kind presentation.

Over his career, Dave discovered meaning and purpose in the unlikeliest of places. From those early years spent behind the wheel of a police cruiser, to those times spent navigating the shadows of undercover work, to the thousands of hours spent inside a homicide briefing room, opportunities for learning were all around.  This presentation shares some of Dave’s most impactful lessons learned and earned through his life of service.

Inspired by the many people he has met along the way, Dave explores with participants what strategies he and others have used to strengthen resolve and be resilient through difficult circumstances or unwanted change.

Finding Silver Linings will enlighten participants and provide fresh new perspectives on how to react to adversity with strength and purpose.

Dave takes audiences through his time working undercover in a major city’s downtown drug scene and frames a number of lessons learned and earned during this time.

Realizing long ago, “Not everyone lives behind white picket fences”, has had a long-lasting and positive impact on Dave and he hopes this perspective-widening wisdom will affect audiences too.
